All Hail McQueen

Pretty much my favorite designer EVER is Alexander McQueen.  This started may before the hoopla of the Royal Wedding, before Lady Gaga, and before the Lobster Claw shoes.  His runway shows, his atheistic, his attention to detail, and his styling, have made him a master in the Art of Fashion.  I was very saddened when he died over a year ago.  I didn't really think that anyone could replace the genius that he has created. I was very pleasantly surprised with Sarah Burton.  Not only has she continued in the tradition Lee Alexander created, but grew, and respectfully at that.  Since I live in the middle of nowhere, and will not be able to go and see his "Savage Beauty" event at the Met, I wanted to highlight the 5 collections that will be showcased.  Enjoy!

'Dante' Collection 1996-1997

'#13' Collection 1999
'Voss' Collection 2001
'Irene' Collection 2003
'Plato's Apollo' 2010 Collection

And here are a few of the amazing  pieces from the MET exhibition.

Amazeballs... Have a great night everyone!
kisses, Jane

Dirty 30!

So for my new decade resolution, I will be blogging at least once a week.  Try to gain an audience, and try to host a giveaway.  I WILL do this.
So I turned 30.  Manfriend and I went to New Orleans to see the Scissor Sisters and have a the BEST TIME EVER. I seriously have the biggest crush on that city.  I need to download all my pictures, and get them on here and on FB.  It was amazing to go and visit the Lower 9th ward again, and compare pictures from 6 years ago.  The swamp tour was a total bust, but we did get to meet this kitty named Mugsy in real life.
Holy Balls!

Toodles for now!
